Gs-3 : Environment- Pollution

🅾️Today’s environmental health risks (like microplastics, pollution, chemical exposure) are far more complex, long-term, and interconnected than our current systems can handle. Traditional methods only study single pollutants at a time, ignoring how multiple exposures over a person’s lifetime interact with genetics, lifestyle, and social conditions.

➡️ So, we need a new science called Exposomics – which tracks and studies all environmental exposures a person faces from birth to death. It will help shift from curing diseases to preventing them early.

⚜️Problem: Focuses on single pollutants, ignores combined exposures.

⚜️Pattern: Risks today are from long-term, mixed exposures (e.g., climate + pollution + food + stress).

Gs-3 : Environment- Climate change

🅾️Climate action- immediate, and impact-driven climate action is needed- People suffer from disasters now, not abstract averages in 2100.

🅾️Central point of this article is that Global warming projections (like 1.5°C limit) are based on imperfect models with high uncertainties—especially beyond 2050.

🅾️Climate change is real and serious, but global average warming should not become the only lens.
We need to manage climate risks, not just climate statistics.

Gs-3 : Climate change- climate policy and climate transition.

🅾️Prerequisite for this is -Energy Transition- “Energy Atmanirbharta” by 2040

🅾️Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)= Core technology to store and supply energy on demand.

🔰Clean Energy Demand ⟶ Renewable Intermittency ⟶ Need for BESS ⟶ Storage enables Grid Stability ⟶ BESS needs Policy, Finance, Tech Push ⟶ Leads to Energy Security + SDG 7

Gs-2 : Fundamental rights- Role of Judiciary

🅾️ Context: The article claims courts are prioritizing sentiment over constitutional values.

⚠️ The Problem: The author treats any judicial sensitivity as regression. But suggesting an apology is not criminalising speech.
In Ranveer’s case, it wasn’t just free speech — it touched on dignity, gender, and parliamentary decorum-
Right to take offence- click here and read- Just because something is not illegal doesn’t mean it is above scrutiny.

⚠️⚠️ Instead of asking, “Was his comment in bad taste?” or “Did the court balance rights and responsibility?”, the author calls even advice “corrosive”. How? 😄

🔰 What the author ignores: Maybe courts aren’t timid they’re being tactically wise because Indians are emotional and mistrust on system is even more dangerous.Constitutional freedoms don’t exist in a vacuum.

Gs-3 : Mobilization of resources- Financial institutions

🅾️Updates on Financial sector regulations- reforms - n recent months, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) have released new frameworks on how they will design and release regulations. This marks a shift from top-down regulation to a more consultative, transparent process, where public feedback is invited and documented.

🅾️Overall funda?- The philosophy with which you carry out reforms should Justify Why a Regulation is Needed -Institutionalize Accountability-> Improve Public Participation

⚜️Pre consultative legislative policy-

🅾️But Roadblock : Many Indian regulators lack the human/technical capacity- Consultation isn’t just listening — it’s explaining why a rule exists, proving its impact, and being willing to revise it.

🅾️Nickel joins lithium, cobalt, and rare earths in the critical minerals club- India's task is clear: extract responsibly, process domestically, deploy strategically.

🅾️Relevance of nickel?- Energy transition- used in EV's-

🅾️Problem- Traditional nickel extraction is energy-intensive and polluting — emits >20 tonnes CO₂ per tonne of nickel. So, clean energy infrastructure depends on dirty resource extraction, creating a paradox. But hydrogen plasma tech can solve this problem.

🔰India's Sukinda Valley (Odisha) has laterite nickel reserves – opportunity for domestic value chain
